So up until this point my 3d printers were only at work, and I figured now is the time to buy one for the family for the home! I have boy/girl twins about to turn 4 years old, and they were so excited picking out something to print from Thingiverse - Digital Designs for Physical Objects and yeggi - Printable 3D Models Search Engine I figure they need to get started early!
So setup took about 15 minutes, it is a very good , easy to use 3d printer for you home. I spent most of those 15 minutes trying to level the thing lol, then we printed a couple things out. My son printed out a big Spiderman keychain, and my daughter printed out ring from the movie frozen, lol.
both prints were daily quick, and came out absolutely perfect! My only issue was trying to remove them from the printer bed, it took some serious effort trying o get the PLA printed filament off the bed, and in the end I had to use an exact knife.
So next print (3rd) was to be an iPhone 6 and Apple Watch charging dock. However it would not print properly and im pretty sure its due to the fact that while trying to remove the first two prints from the bed, I made the bed un level, as I did not remove the printer bed from the machine, I simply put pressure on it while it was still in the printer and likely messed up the leveling.
So for now that has been my experience with his printer in terms of printing. 2 perfect prints out of the box and 3rd one failed due to my messing up the level on bed.
The flash forge finder (new model) looks Fantastic in my kitchen on the island counter top and against the wall and under a cabinet. Aesthetically this things looks great! Looks like a piece of the future sitting in my kitchen lol.
Currently im working on a charging dock just for Apple Watch, instead of the all in one phone and watch dock, I found quite a few on yeggi and im simply customizing it a bit.
Also working on a drone frame for one of our drones which needs some love due to a 4 year old flying it! lmao
If anyone has any Flash forge tips, tricks, or warnings, please feel free to post it here!
I will update more on this Flash Forge Finder 3d-Printer
Thank you
