Thread: Phone scanners: Do they work?

I keep seeing designs for hand-cranked scanners that you place your phone on then manually turn the handle, and the phone rotates around a center platform, supposedly scanning the object there. How well does this work? Is it worth it to try to print and build one?

Did you try it? How is it working?

I haven't tried it yet. Wanted to see if anyone else had any success with it first. If I do try, it will take some time to print and put it together.
