    Repetier Host and Slic3r

I've had troubles using Cura to actually print (I'm on a Mac running Sierra). It seems to translate to gcode pretty well, but that's about it. I finally got the Repetier Host and Slic3r installed on my Mac, and I actually got it to run and print over the USB to my monoprice maker select. It has worked for a couple small prints, but getting the right settings for what I want Slic3r to do has been tricky, still not sure I even have it right. Do you have to go in and change the settings on slic3r every time you need to change the infill, etc.?

I can not get my Mac to hook up to my mono price via the USB ports. And Cura works great on my Mac. In terms of slic3r, yeah I thought you needed to change setting overtime you want to change infill. You talking about whether its hollow, solid, or honeycomb shape inside right?

Yes, that's right. It's kind of annoying. I'd love to be able to change those setting from the main app (Repetier). Maybe Repetier and Slic3r could get together and make one program.

What settings do you use on Cura? Mine will move the head into the starting position as if it's going to print, and then it just stops and sits there.

I can't get Cura to work either. Repetier and Slic3r are what works for me.

Are you trying to connect the USB cable through a hub or directly to a port on the computer? I have a powered hub that I tried to use, but it interfered with communication to the printer. It only worked after I plugged directly to a port on the back of the computer.
